As an agronomist specializing in plant protection, he has long been dedicated to practical biological and integrated solutions in viticulture. He has participated in research and operational projects focused on grapevine protection, including the evaluation of biological and chemical strategies against diseases and pests, as well as the use of pheromone technologies.
He has extensive experience in applying functional technologies to limit the spread of quarantine grapevine diseases, including Flavescence dorée, and in regulating its vector, Scaphoideus titanus. He has been continuously involved in implementing effective and economically viable biological plant protection solutions in practice.

Key Steps in the Strategy Against Grapevine Flavescence dorée and cicadas (Scaphoideus titanus): Causal Relationships, Infection Dynamics, Prevention, Monitoring, and Targeted Interventions.
This lecture provides an overview of how Flavescence dorée develops and spreads in vineyards, as well as the key factors that influence the speed of infection within a vine plot. It highlights the crucial stages of the disease cycle, the role of the vector Scaphoideus titanus, and practical monitoring methods that help detect the issue early.
Participants will learn about effective prevention strategies, risk‑zone management, and modern biological and residue‑free technologies that enable targeted vector control without burdening the vineyard ecosystem. The lecture also includes practical examples and recommendations for fast and efficient response in Central European vineyard conditions.
