He is among the leading Slovak specialists in the field of biological plant protection and plant nutrition. For more than 35 years, he has been dedicated to the study of plant diseases and pests, with a strong focus on integrated and ecologically sustainable solutions.
Throughout his professional career, he has contributed to numerous research and applied projects aimed at improving plant health, increasing production quality, and implementing modern solutions in practice. He shares his expertise with professionals, growers, and institutions not only in Slovakia, but also in France, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Georgia, where he is active in advisory and educational activities.
Presentation
We will introduce modern and practically proven approaches to strengthening the plant immune system, which can significantly reduce the pressure of fungal and bacterial diseases as well as selected pests in professional production. Our focus will be on effective tools of integrated and organic practice – from targeted nutrition that supports defence mechanisms, through biological solutions with specific effects, to strategic management of soil vitality and microbial balance.
During the presentation, we will also explore additional key biostimulants that complement the effect of Trichoderma – Bacillus-based technologies, algae, plant extracts, and silicon-based products that enhance the mechanical strength of plant tissues. We will demonstrate how these tools support each other, where they deliver the greatest effect, and how to correctly integrate them into integrated or organic production systems – including practices that help limit pest occurrence by strengthening the natural vitality of crops.
Participants will gain a clear overview of how to implement these approaches into their production technology and achieve more stable, resilient output with lower risks and higher economic returns. The lecture is intended for professionals seeking sustainable, effective, and scientifically grounded solutions.
